The current climate and environmental crises have led artist Karine Bedjidian to question man's relationship with nature, which he has exploited for his survival and then for his expansion.
Through her drawings, she highlights the natural elements used by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf, founder of the Manufacture de Toiles de Jouy, underlining the close relationship between this human adventure and nature. Nature provided Oberkampf with the raw materials he needed, and influenced his techniques and motifs for the printed canvases.
