From 18 June to 29 September 2024, at the Orangerie du Château de Versailles, discover the artist Eva Jospin and her work Chambre de soie at the Eva Jospin-Versailles exhibition. A monumental embroidery creation measuring over 350 m2 and 107 m in length, Chambre de soie invites visitors to wander around.

An embroidery challenge
Inspired by the Salle aux Broderies in Rome's Palazzo Colonna and Virginia Woolf's novel A Room of One's Own, Chambre de soi depicts landscapes covering more than 350 m2. The work was produced by artisans from the Chanakya workshop and the Chanakya School of Craft in Mumbai, in constant dialogue with Eva Jospin. Invited by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Eva Jospin presented her creation on the catwalk for Dior's autumn-winter 2021-2022 haute couture collection.

A unique dialogue with the Orangerie at the Château de Versailles
Eva Jospin drew her inspiration for this work from her favourite themes: nature, wandering and architectural follies. At the Orangerie, Chambre de soie will be exhibited in a linear fashion, encouraging visitors to wander around.
