The "Journées Ravel" music festival presents various work by Maurice Ravel through different parts of the city Montfort l'Amaury.
Created in 1996, this festival is dedicated to the memory and spirit of the famous French composer. Today, the “Journées Ravel” have the power to perpetuate the work of Ravel, his masters or his contemporaries in the place chosen by him as his home is a privilege, according to the opinion of all the artists who have responded to our invitation.
It is also our duty to serve the work of one of the greatest artists of his time, to the delight of friends who are loyal to this annual event in and around Montfort-l'Amaury. Every year, for two weekends in October, some of the finest cultural sites in the Yvelines region, so dear to Maurice Ravel, open their doors to an ambitious and demanding artistic programme. The programme features some twenty performances by both established artists and young performers, whom this festival help to discover.
