At Place d'Armes from 8pm to 11pm, with dozens of telescopes set up by the Cassini and Magnitude 78 astronomy clubs.

Meeting point at Place d'Armes (large square just in front of the Château de Versailles, used as a car park), meeting point next to the statue of Louis XIV.

Come along with red lamps (bicycle type), stools for your children, chairs and plaids, binoculars, a print-out of a sky map to download in advance with ‘Skymap’, ‘stellarium’, ‘ISS detector’, to help you see independently. The organisers will be wearing yellow waistcoats. In case of rain, amateur and professional astronomers will be on hand to share their passion and expertise, including Nicolas Biver from the Paris-Meudon Observatory.
For the night at the beginning of October, in Versailles, astronomical twilight, 20:22-20:58. It will be possible to start observing as early as 7.30pm (setting moon, planets), but you'll have to wait until 8.30pm to start getting darkness close to that of the middle of the night in Versailles. This is the time from which we have requested the blackouts.
