The Bergerie Nationale is a real modern-day farm and an educational farm where the whole family can have fun discovering farming life !
The establishment was created by Louis XIV to be a model farm by developing innovation in agriculture and animal husbandry. Today, it is a genuine training center for agricultural education and farmers committed to sustainable development. But that's not all: at the Bergerie nationale, you can explore the farm on your own, in a fun and informative way, and meet the farmers and their animals.
Visit the farm on your own or take one of the guided tours organised in the afternoon. A number of workshops are also organised for children throughout the year. Hand milking of goats, milking of cows, horse-drawn carriage rides, animal care, sheep shearing... something for all ages!
And don't miss the arrival of the farm's new arrivals: goat kids are born in spring, lambs from September to February. Calves, piglets, young rabbits and chicks are available all year round.
