Art lovers, be prepared! The Musée International d'Art Naïf in Vicq invites you to discover the richness of its collection. Surprisingly diverse works from all over the world await you! The Musée International d'Art Naïf (MIDAN) is home to a multitude of astonishing works from all over the world.

You can discover the fascinating collection of Max Fourny, the museum's founder, with almost 900 works acquired during his life travels. The museum also houses the personal collection of Françoise Javault from the Musée d'Art Naïf de Bages, which has been closed in 2002.

The MIDAN opened in 1973 in the country farmhouse from the 18th century of Max Fourny and his wife. The site was extended in order to house a collection that would grow and develop over time. Max Fourny travelled the world to discover naive painters and sculptors: a true art lover. The municipality of Vicq became the owner of the buildings and collections following a donation made by the collector and his wife.

During your visit, you'll be able to see an incredible diversity of art techniques: oil, gouache, watercolour, pencil, pastel, collage, sculpture, canvas, wood, paper, glass, fabric, etc.
The museum seeks to showcase and develop its current holdings. To this end, it organises temporary exhibitions for individual visitors and groups on a national and international scale. The aim is to let as many people as possible discover the richness of this collection.
Cultural and educational activities linked to the exhibitions are also organised.

A museum that will appeal to young and old alike. The museum is open all year round on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 6pm, and on Thursdays and Fridays on booking.
